I think the HardOCP crew tested this out not too long ago and saw very, very little difference. I wouldn't worry about it.

It's possible that marketing people sometimes don't know what they're talking about. :) I actually flattened out my Eyefinity setup to fix the fisheye problem. I sit really close (nearsighted) and the distortions on the side monitors when I was moving around were nauseating. It's fine now...

You linked to an HDMI cable, not a Displayport cable. You need an active Displayport adapter to have three monitors working. (I'm assuming all three monitors are DVI before you start adding adapters) No ideas on the Crossfire issue.

The 785 runs the first two slots at 8x/8x and the third at 4x. The 890 does the exact same thing. After the recent testing that showed differences between 8x and 16x are miniscule, I'm not worried about bandwidth being an issue. And raw speed can't be the issue since the 785 and the 890 run...

I'm using one of these as a secondary card and to run GPU workunits in BOINC, and I don't trust the fan on it to last very long if I keep the card hot. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced HS/fan that'd fit on one of these? I was looking at one of these at Newegg...
