    PCI-e 8x limits

I think the HardOCP crew tested this out not too long ago and saw very, very little difference. I wouldn't worry about it.

Games that don't have Fisheye with Eyefinity?

It's possible that marketing people sometimes don't know what they're talking about. :) I actually flattened out my Eyefinity setup to fix the fisheye problem. I sit really close (nearsighted) and the distortions on the side monitors when I was moving around were nauseating. It's fine now...

Problems with crossfire with xfx 5770

You linked to an HDMI cable, not a Displayport cable. You need an active Displayport adapter to have three monitors working. (I'm assuming all three monitors are DVI before you start adding adapters) No ideas on the Crossfire issue.

    Tri-monitor setup with 5770x2

RK, I'm using that setup with Samsung monitors with an oddball resolution (2048x1152). Two of them are on DVI and the third is using a Sapphire adapter... http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814999030&cm_re=displayport_dvi-_-14-999-030-_-Product Every once in a while the...

Crossfire works on an 'unsupported' chipset (785G)...hunh?

The 785 runs the first two slots at 8x/8x and the third at 4x. The 890 does the exact same thing. After the recent testing that showed differences between 8x and 16x are miniscule, I'm not worried about bandwidth being an issue. And raw speed can't be the issue since the 785 and the 890 run...

Crossfire works on an 'unsupported' chipset (785G)...hunh?

I've been running a 5770 on my Asrock 785G for a while and finally decided to get a second one to do Crossfire with, partly since I've always wanted to do this since the Voodoo2 days but just never got around to it. :) While the card was on the way from Newegg, I did some research about how...

    Aftermarket heatsink for the 4650?

I'm using one of these as a secondary card and to run GPU workunits in BOINC, and I don't trust the fan on it to last very long if I keep the card hot. Can anyone suggest a reasonably priced HS/fan that'd fit on one of these? I was looking at one of these at Newegg...

Am I obsessing? Reasonable temps for an Opteron 280

Very useful chart, thanks. :) Looks like it's reasonable to want to find something that works better, but that I don't need to panic.
