    Can you not just flip the cable around and use 1 for both scenarios? If you pull up the pictures from both of the cables I posted they look the exact same? Eg. Raid Controller (mini SAS) -> 4 SATA drives 4 SATA ports -> SAS backplane Same ends, same connectors, just the cable is flipped...

    What's the difference between these 2 cables? I see one says reverse and one says forward, but the ends look the exact same? I'd just buy the 3ware, but newegg.ca doesn't carry them :mad: I need 2 of them to use from my raid card to HD's...
