With one (or two) GPU's, it doesn't seem to make much difference, the same 6900 WU will make 23K-26K depending on which GPU WU the video cards are crunching. I had Hard time deciding to turn off the GPU's but I was only getting about 9K ppd...

I also started with a fresh directory and install too. What I see from the replies is a mix of wu's, I'll just remain patient...a good wu is bound to come my way soon.

Since switching to 6.34 a couple days ago, I've gotten what's below...is that right? Only the 7124 got any kind of good ppd. Is that what everyone else is seeing or is my config off? I verified the log said 6.34 for the client ant 2.27 for the core (A3). I am running -smp -bigadv -advmethods...

This may sound dumb but I was having a similar issue with a GTX260 I moved to a new box. It showed 2D speed clocks until I started folding on it then the frequency returned to what it should have been.

Sheesh...I had thought about posting about a 2684 that was a little slower than normal but I've had no crashes so I guess luckier than most. I also attributed the slowdown to a steady stream of 353pt gpu wu's which I hear tell consume a little more cpu so figured that's all it was.

Right now the GTX260, using GPU2 on a 353 point WU is sucking 5.5% of the Q6600 CPU. I don't mind so much on this box though because the CPU pints are just icing on the cake. This is my sons's machine and gets used for all kinds of stuff not just folding. I appreciate the input sirmonkey and...

Is it wrong for a GTX260 to consume 3.8% of CPU and a 9800GT to use 0.25%? They are both in the same Win7 box. My Bigadv SMP is down by 4,000ppd compared to when I ran the 9800GT and an 8800GT in tandem and I suspect this is the cause.

Uh...I had my clients mixed up...looks like the GTX260 is folding at 8K+ like it would at default settings. It has to be running at default clocks but who would rivatuner and afterburner report 300/600/100 on two different machines? Pfft...enough for tonight, gotta pack it in...work tomorrow.
