    NF7-S Northbridge Fan

    I bought an nf7-s 2.0 a few weeks ago, and had read all about the fan problem so I ordered the blue Zalman passive NB cooler and installed it on the mobo even before the mobo went into the case. I can confirm the blue zalman works great.

    Do you still have a stick of 128 meg PC133 left for $14? Is that $14 including shipping? I just set up a pentium 2 box to experiment with Linux and would like to throw a second stick of 128 in it. Mobo won't support 256 sticks, so a 128 sticl would be just what the doctor ordered.

    Nevermind, found the solution finally in the abit forums. With Winamp, you have to go into OPTIONS PREFERENCES and select Directsound, then you have to configure it and tell it to use hardware acceleration. When you do that, viola, sound from the rear speakers. Tried to delete this post...
