    dont let the 2 extra cores fool you, im an everyday gamer, play css, farcry, crysis, bf2, cod4 blahblahblah and i just sold my q6600 for an e8400 and theirs such a big difference.. we'll for me their was becuase my q6600 was a B3 stepping and would only oc to 3.0.. i got my 8400 at 4.0 right now...

    yes, but overall the game feels smoother. before in a deathmatch with 18 people it felt all sluggish and i hit 70-90 fps. now it hasn't gone below 140, and runs smooth as silk.

    why would he do that? that's an advantage of having a dualcore, it oc's higher. i just sold my q6600 (crappy B3 stepping only oc'd to 3.0)(40-45c idle/ 1.4 volts) and bought an e8400 and oc'd to 4.0 right now with 1.35 volts and 34/28c temps..noticed a pretty big fps difference in cs:s( but...

    my q6600 stock, and 8800 gtx, got me like 70-150 fps in a css deathmatch, but once i oc'd to 3.0, which was super easy and i could go further, but 3.0 is perfect, dont have to worry about it being unstable or any of that. but once i got it to 3.0, i was then getting 120-300 fps in that same css...
