    I know, and I also don't own a 144Hz monitor which wouldn't work with HDMI. And you have to pay royalties to use HDMI, and none for DVI.

    do you have dedicated video card? if so you can try removing it and using the cpu vga. far fetched, but could rule out vga driver issues...
