Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Thanks for the tips.
What about X99? Since I also do 3D modeling / video editing, I suppose I'd benefit from the extra cores?
I've been thinking about Intel Core i7-5820K + Asus STRIX X99 GAMING combo. What do you think?
My older motherboard is showing signs of dying (USB-headers not working, random shut downs...) so the time has come to upgrade to a Skylake build.
I will be receiving Asus Strix 1080 in few weeks so I still have time to decide on the mobos. CPU will be 6700K most likely. I will be mainly gaming...
I work at retail company and I was able to bring my card to our RMA service staff.
I forgot to mention they replaced it with MSI Twin Frozr 980 because 780 wasn't available anymore so I am more than happy with the outcome.
So I was casually playing Fallout 4 for maybe 1 hour when my computer suddenly shut down. It seemed it wasn't powering up properly anymore so I restarted it.
Suddenly smoke starts coming out around the GPU area, then I see sparkles and small flame rising out of my case. It started to smell...
I'm happy with it. I must say that I am sometimes having difficulties with the Bluetooth connection of it on Mac but not on Windows (10).
Weight seems fine as well. I used to have Razer Deathadder 2013 and I didn't like it at all. My hand got tired and it started hurting quite quickly. It...
I have found no issues playing with this mouse. I've played Fallout 4, WoT, Witcher 3, GTAV, Star Wars Battlefront, CS and numerous other games with it. For casual gaming it works really well.
I can hear it all the time. Even when I have removed HDD and GPU.
I must stress that the noise it generates is not very loud but since it is high pitched, I can hear it. Other owners of this Snow unit say that it should be dead quiet, so not even very tiny whine, I believe?
I have RMA the...
I'd describe it more like a high pitched buzzing sound. I'm not sure if am willing to fix the PSU myself especially thinking about how much I've paid for them. They simply shouldn't have coil whine.
