It fits fine... the new champ in NB air cooling. A minor "lap" of the NB before install is good, the plastic is a bit "cupped"....1000grit paper for 1-2 min will usually do it.

Yes, I was at 1G for a while with 2x256M 1x512M sticks of CH5 (HyperX3500) though without CPC off ability I was slowed down to 210Mhz max. With a CPC off bios you can prolly hit 230Mhz-ish.

No, having used all 3 boards.... with 1G of CH5 (I assume) or BH5 you wont get the most out of any ASUS NForce2 model, nor the NF7-S. The DFI Infinity/LPuB are best equiped to get the max out of your ram. I didnt every mod/trick in the book on my NF7-S's and cant get decent performance out...

I do luv the Fortron but I have always had to open it up, and adjust the 12V rail. I like to center the rails at 5.25V, 12.50V and 3.4V. THis way under VERY heavy load they all stay above the X.00 point.

I have a similar setup I gave my nephew....XP trimmed down by nLite worked like a charm, plenty peppy for his 8yr old self and very kid's games....Pentium 1 @ 250Mhz and 2x 64MB sdram, 4MB S3 video PCI card.

Seagate's own disk install utility will do the whole thing for you. Ive done it many times. Just install the new sata disk, let seagate format/copy all the files over, etc. Works fine IDE->SATA and SATA->IDE. Tough part comes with sata raid, then the utilities dont work. Each disk compnay...
