Right now I have a ZR2440W : a 24" sRGB screen, which has better uniformity than almost all the 27" WQHD screens out there (except for the U2713H) but does suffer from the AG coating (though I am not overly sensitive to it) and some glow on the lower right corner (unavoidable on all e-IPS...
let's hope it gets fixed soon...esp since only a few radeon users seem to have it...first major disappointment from this card..given the spate of driver issues of late this may be my last amd card
No other Radeon owner has flashing texture problems? I just ran OCCT video test on my card at both stock and OC settings so that is not the issue here...wonder what gives.
Anyone with a 58XX care to post how it runs? Tried 11.10 and still same issue, default clocks still same issue, some portions of the game are fine (like the initial escape scene) but others have major texture flashing issues like the drive from San Fran
I get flashing textures in the game, the same thing happened with Rage with AA was applied in Catalyst CP, in this case it is not , AA is applied automatically by the game and I still get the annoying flashing textures.
My card is a 5850 and removing the OC does not help one bit.
All other...
Solved it, the 2D on ATI using display port was better, noticeably less banding. Also, upped the GPU voltage via bios mod and made mem clocks statics for all modes.
End result: 5850 @ 850/1050 and 3DMark extreme score of 1320 at 1920x1200 extreme preset vs 1121 for the 460 @ 900/4400

Just did a side-grade to a GTX 460 HAWK from MSI from my 5850 Xtreme (will give one to my bro, not sure which), haven't used Nvidia in a while and had a few questions:
1. Does coolbits still work?
2. Does the Nvidia CP have a color temperature setting like ATI's - where you set whatever...
Ok got two more replacements - one from overstock and one from HP, the overstock one has some 'minor' impurities on one side and somewhat of the color issue I noticed earlier, the HP one has a 3 mm dust/speck stuck on the top left!! WTH!!
I guess it's time to give up finally.
So surprise, surprise, the screen became totally uniform overnight but I found one dead pixel and one dead subpixel (or may be an 'impurity') on the top.
Turns out that with HP's next day service they actually send refurbs and when this monitor was reset , the tech that replaced the screen...
Update: after tweaking the settings, uneveness seems to be a bit less...only noticeable when you look for it, it is there but not too distracting...wondering if I should just keep it now.
Got the new one, same thing except the light side is on the left...this is going back
I think I'll just return the monitor : HP support confirmed unofficially that this is a 'known' issue and the chances of this unevenness occurring in a new replacement would be the same.
Have to say I'm quite...
