Ryzen 2400G – integrated GPU passthrough

Any OS, could be ESXi, KVM on Fedora, etc. I don't have the CPU yet, I'm asking to know if it works before I purchase. I figure somone must have tried this before.

Ryzen 2400G – integrated GPU passthrough

I've been looking all over the internet for information on if it's possible to do passthrough on the integrated GPU on the Ryzen 2400G to a Windows VM, but I haven't been able to find anything at all. If someone has the CPU, could you maybe to the internet a favor and see if it works?

ZFS powered all-in-one with GPU passthrough

I'm looking to reconfigure my all-in-one because I'm going to do some (light) GPGPU calculations in Linux on it as well. I would also like to be able to use Windows VMs with hardware accelerated graphics (not at the same time of course). Up until now I've been using SmartOS and I love it, but...

ZFS: 120GB SSD for L2ARC or ZIL?

Data is accessed by clients through both SMB and NFS (and also HTTP). Mainly SMB, though.

ZFS: 120GB SSD for L2ARC or ZIL?

Hi! I'm running a ZFS NAS with a 3x 2TB RAIDZ-1 setup. The machine has 8GB of RAM. I store mostly photos and documents, as well as some bigger files such as some disk images. It also hosts a few virtual machines. Would I gain anything by using a spare 120GB SSD I have laying around for...

    ZFS, Docker, Shipyard: All-in-one?

Has anyone every thought about creating an all-in-one (similar to this) but using ZFS on Linux, Docker and Shipyard instead of ESXi and a ZFS capable VM? I find it intriguing but I'm a bit too lazy to try it out. Has anyone else thought about this?

Backup service with support for Linux

Hi! I'm looking for some sort of service that will allow me to backup a couple of 100GB of photos and documents to the "cloud". Something like CrashPlan, but that has proper support for Linux (i.e. a real headless client) and preferably isn't written in Java. I've been looking around for...

    Joyent's SmartOS: any future?

Hi! I'm just wondering if anyone know if SmartOS still has a future or if Joyent has given up on it? I'm wondering since there haven't been any updates on their blog for many months now. Any news? Best regards ultra

    XenServer direct disk access

I have been trying to google it all day but haven't found anything (except the link above, making it look like an external device). Anyone else? Thanks everyone so very much. :)

    XenServer direct disk access

Thanks for your replies! They are very helpful. :) I looked into it and my hardware doesn't support IOMMU (HP ProLiant MicroServer N40L). The question therefore is; what is the best way to forward the disks to a VM for ZFS without IOMMU (PCI passthrough)? Ubuntu, ZFS on Linux and XCP on...

    XenServer direct disk access

Thanks! Anyone know if passing SATA disks directly as shown in the link is an ok idea? For home use this is, nothing major.

    XenServer direct disk access

Hi Simply and quick question. Is there any way to give a VM direct disk access under XenServer/XCP? Is this solution safe enough for passing through 6 disks for RAIDZ2 to an OmniOS VM? http://wiki.xenproject.org/wiki/XCP_DirectDiskAccess Thanks in advance

    Anyone using OpenStack?

Any other ideas? By the way, is it possible to manage many ESXi/XenServer host from one place with a free license?

    Anyone using OpenStack?

I'll give it a go. :) Thanks! What alternative would you suggest (other than the already mentioned Proxmox VE)? The solution being "free" (like how ESXi is "free") is a must for me. Web GUI is also a big plus.
