Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Same boat. I'm mucking around in Fusion 360 right now and the off-yellow of the corners and the weirdness of black-on-grey-on-white details is rampant. I am able to sit a bit further back than you so I'll count myself lucky.
Oh well. I'll forget about it as soon as I do pretty much anything...
Very interesting, I didn't expect such success with an affordable arm. Some of the really beefy stuff gets crazy expensive, but I think I'll give one of those a shot.
About how much further forward does the arm make the monitor sit? I currently have the OEM legs set as far back as they can...
Has anyone put this thing on a monitor arm?
I'm starting to crave a floating monitor. The included feet are less intrusive than the center pedestel on my last monitor, but I want to clean things up.
Hah....I was just reading the last few updates to this thread, thinking about how lucky I am to have a unit I'm happy with, and the display cut out for a few seconds. Happened the moment I clicked my profile name in the upper right corner and the little window expanded. Come to think of it...
I'm not sure if this is a FV43U-specific issue or not, but does anyone know how to make nvidia GPUs stop detecting this monitor as a "new audio device" every time it is turned on? I'm not even using the displays audio, nor do I have the nvidia HD audio drivers installed.
Most streaming services do not offer their highest quality streams to PCs because "anti piracy" 🙄🙄🙄 Netflix's 4k package, for example, simply doesnt provide any benefit to browsers.
Unrelated, but if anyone bought this display from Newegg prior to the "Fantastech Sales" event they just had...
I'm not really informed enough on LCD tech to make a call. My totally uninformed guess would be that the BGR subpixel layout has something to do with it, only because I've never seen this before now and this is my first BGR panel. It might also be an artifact of some "feature" of the monitor...
I notice this occasionally as well, it almost looks like the screen door effect on lowish-res VR, but only on the Y axis. It's not enough to bother me, but I'm glad that someone else mentioned it so I know I'm not totally nuts.
I've grown to like my FV43U more with time, and after a few weeks...
I requested a price match. Had to go through their support chat because the automated form kept failing. At first they agreed right away, but then I got an email stating that the manual refund wont process because the item is "on the Fantastech sale list. So we will not issue the refund...
I got this display earlier in the week and very nearly started a return with Newegg. I had text blurriness issues and couldn't view my system BIOS - something about the way the system changes resolutions at boot seemed to cause the monitor to think it had no signal and would shut off...
They have a lot more in common than I bet you'd be willing to admit.
Microsoft chooses when and how to update software on both systems. They push ads to both systems. They're pushing W10 gaming towards a closed console-like environment via DX12 exclusivity, Microsoft store exclusives, and...
8.1 with ClassicShell is everything W10 should have been.
I'll never understand why anyone would spend the time and money to build a custom enthusiast rig and then basically hand the keys over to Microsoft. Just buy an xbox.
Self driving cars aren't the future, they're here. There are 3.5 million truck drivers in the United States. That one industry alone being automated would increase the current unemployed total in the US by 44%. I'm not going to bother finding numbers for taxi drivers, chauffers, mail...
