    I leave my profile on quiet office with a very low processor speed and the screen brightness in the 30%s. I normally get anywhere from 5 to 7 hours of battery life on strong wifi signal and these settings. I've never gotten the 9+ battery life on my laptop but I could be doing something wrong :)

    Asus UL notebook series -- Strong peformance + netbook-like battery life?

    I have the UL30VT and it is amazing. I am a constant web surfer so I don't get the full 12 hours but it does everything I need, is light, and lasts forever. It is everything I thought when I was buying it and more.

    doesn't matter which company, both have great performance...Figure out how much your budget is and then select that card or cards in that price range. if you have a 30 inch screen will you be playing games at that full resolution or just have that high of a resolution for the desktop and play...

    new hardware causing problems

    i did use driver cleaner and the drives never get the chance to get a drive letter, they show up but get errors when I try to do anything to them in Disk Management.
