    1060 3GB vs 6GB for 1080p gaming

I'd definitely go with the 6GB version if you can swing the price difference. If you want to run games on ultra graphic settings, the extra VRAM is definitely worth while.

    AMD Wraith cooler overclocking

Just wondering if any of you guys are running the AMD wraith cooler with an overclock? I'm wondering how it compares to aftermarket air and lower end liquid coolers. Currently have my 8370 OC'd to 4.5ghz, but I'd like to get more out of it. My case is limiting my to a single fan liquid cooler...

Is it worth upgrading? FX Series

Yeah I'm seriously contemplating whether to go with a 8350 or 8370. Looks like here in Canada, the 8370 only comes bundled with the wraith cooler which I won't use...and don't really wanna pay that extra bit for. If all this Zen talk is accurate (or at least somewhat), I'll end up holding off...

Is it worth upgrading? FX Series

I don't know where you are in the world, but here a few 2x4GB DDR4 kits goes for around $80. 16GB kits are all $120+ unless there's some kind of crazy sale on... Clearly I HAVE looked, instead of assuming what the prices are.

Is it worth upgrading? FX Series

60-70 dollars? Nah, try like 120+ for a 2x8GB kit!! Regardless, I'll look into it when the time comes. Another option that I was looking into was the FX 9590, but from what I understand my motherboard and cooling are inadequate for that particular chip.

Is it worth upgrading? FX Series

Yes, it definately is playable... on ultra to boot...so I can't complain there. I'll hold out for ZEN I guess, just wondering if those motherboard will support DDR3. If so, I'll just get that and a CPU, and I should be good to go (I hope lol). The 8350 is going for $199 right now here in Canada...

Is it worth upgrading? FX Series

I have an FX 6300 OC'd to 4.5ghz currently, and I'm experiencing some bottlenecking in Battlefield 1 with my GTX 1060 video card (6GB). I'm wondering if there would be any noticeable difference between the 6300, and say a 8350 or 8370 when it comes to gaming? I just put this system together last...

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

Do you think it's worth picking up another 8GB? I don't know what apps would utilize it...ideally games. Those will be the most CPU/RAM intensive apps I'll be running.

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

I'm not exactly on a tight budget, just don't want to spend a fortune on this system. I do want it to be somewhat "future proof" though for at least a few years. I've been experiencing some random 1-2second lockups/ pauses (whatever you wanna call it) when playing Mafia 3. Not sure if that's a...

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

It's reporting around 4200-4300 RPM on the CPU fan (in this case, the pump)

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

Aida64 is showing the fan speed to be 760RPM with just Waterfox and iTunes open, with a CPU temp of around 12C average which is pretty good, does spike up to around 23C occasionally.. Will have to check my bios settings and see what that fan is set to. Thanks for mentioning that.

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

I picked it today, and it's a really nice unit. A bit louder (fan) than the stock AMD cooler, but I think it was a good buy. Can't really hear the pump at all

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

Are the pumps in those corsair units loud? The video/written reviews don't mention anything about that.

New system - Are these extra adds ons worth it?

Yes, it's the exact same ram that you're running (sig). Thanks for the suggestion on the cpu cooler, I'm kinda set on a liquid setup if anything. Just don't know if it's justifiable. Pretty sure anything is better than the stock heatsink that AMD supplies with their CPU's though lol.
