Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Received my risers and attempted my new rig with a new ASRock BTC board. I had some issues using multiple PSUs in a prior build, but was starting from scratch here, along with these new risers.
I managed to kill this brand new board, using only the one PSU. I thought there is a chance this...
Thanks! I think that's the direction I'll go. Thinking of going with the Asrock BTC board.
Thanks for the input -- it's funny, I read that (1) the 6/8pin GPU connections never have anything to do with the aux power that the riser would provide, so it doesn't matter if they're different...
Thanks for your responses so far -- out of the 3 posts, it sounds like 2 are wiring one way, and another is wiring the other way. So I think both CAN work.. but is one better than the other when using the USB risers? Since there's no power heading back into the motherboard via these risers...
Would mobo2 cause a power issue?
I'm just going to get a 6 PCI-e board next time, but I still want to try and understand what went wrong for me. Had the two boards for a total of 7 potential PCI-e slots that I wanted to use. Got the 750 and 700 watt PSUs and figured as a whole, that would...
It seems as though there are two schools of thought on the question of "which PSU should power each riser?" I spent a few hours researching multiple forums and posts, both here and on other mining forums. The advice being given is not consistent and seems to fall within one of two completely...
Thanks Bonksnp! I ended up needing a few more, and found the extra on Buy It Now on ebay for just under $12/ea shipped. They are indeed coming down a bit. Look to be very similar to the ones we purchased on here, if not identical.

This is hilarious -- there are 2 reviews on newegg for this card and they can't both be true:

Review A: ...these cards do not hash any faster than 160 khash/s for litecoin mining - it appears the "gimping" process to cut it down...
Here is the actual announcement from VoS. Basically, no USD/crypto trades for you if you live in the US. You will get bumped to level 1, for crypto/crypto trading.
It is with great regret that we inform you that we will be ceasing our US operations effective today. If you reside outside the...
I'm US-based. Was going to use VoS for DOGE --> USD. I know there are many great crypto --> crypto sites out there, but I was having a hard time finding a reputable exchange for DOGE --> USD. Thought I found it in VoS, but now back to square one. Anyone have any recommendations?
Thank you for posting this! I think I'll give it a try sometime. Love the look of the nicer rigs, but hated to think about $ for materials -- this looks like a good compromise between a milk crate and an aluminum rack.
