Bought both I and II, I've been wanting to pick these up for a while now. I've had it on my wishlist for some time on Steam and just realized when I saw GOG's version they come with all the mission packs which the Steam version doesn't, so even at full price the GOG version is a much better...
Still kicking myself for not jumping on that. Something else will turn up soon enough though. This has been such a weird chip release, lots of hype from review sites but few chips available to hear how users feel about it(6700k that is). This will inevitably be the platform I upgrade to.
Thanks, just picked up a couple of the Metallic Series to go with the new 55" Sammy I bought my parents. At the time I only picked them up the cheapest Best Buy had so they had something. I'll feel like a better son giving them a worthy cable :D
I absolutely love mine. This is a great price, I'm pretty sure I paid full retail when I bought mine 6 or 7 years ago. For this price its a no brainer if your speakers are just sitting on your desk.
I appreciate all the responses here, its awesome this thread is still going. Its nice to get opinions from every side and I think this thread will help many in the same boat. I haven't made a decision yet, but I am leaning towards the 4790k atm. Pretty much everything has been answered from...
Newegg sent a weekender sale flyer. A 5820k and the MSI X99S SLI Plus for $519.98 PLUS a $20 rebate from MSI. $499.98 makes the extra price of DDR4 almost not as prohibitive compared to the 4790k/Maximus VII rig I was considering. The money part of the equation is always part of the decision...
I ended up with E.Y.E.: Divine Cybermancy, Zeno Clash and the Introversion Complete Pack(Darwinia, Uplink, Defcon, and Multiwinia plus a couple of soundtracks). I'm learning to wait until 90% off if its a game I may not get to right away, seeing Shadowrun Returns Deluxe for as low as $2.49 made...
A television as a gift for my parents. Costco is having some pretty decent deals, there is a 60 inch Samsung thats going for $600 off although this has been an expensive month so I may have to settle for something a bit less expensive. For me nothing really, I'm seriously considering a...
Thanks for the link. I don't use my GOG account as much as I should(my Steam account has enough unplayed games to take me into the next decade as it is). Hopefully I can remember to log in every day to get Witcher 2. Tempted to pick up Sanitarium though, I love a good point and click.
I love Spotify, it's one of the few subscriptions I pay for, but if someone can offer their selection and gapless playback, both desktop and mobile, especially at $5, I'd consider switching.
Spotify has had problems with gapless for quite a while now and keeps promising a fix but nothing...
