It's been months and the 480 is still broken in vr. Reminiscent of the Crossfire debacle which AMD denied for ages until multiple sites exposed the truth.
It will be a game changer but Matrix quality VR is still quite a few years away. It's ridiculous to call the current state of technology virtual reality.
After all the blather about how "next generation" superiority favored AMD, once again turns out to be hot air.
with the RX 480 I did notice some texture flickering that was not present on the GTX 1060, oops.
Compared to the Radeon RX 480, everything is improved at the cost of only $60, which results in a price-performance ratio that is 10% worse, something I'd go for any day.
From techpowerup. MSI gaming 1060 way better and cheaper.
MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X review
The MSI Twin Frozen 1070 just destroys previous generation especially Fury X, even in Dx12. Also stays below 70c quietly. Grateful for sites like Hardocp , Guru3d, PC perspective, Tech Report that do legit real world testing.
Get a custom cooled overclocked from EVGA or one of the others. Faster cooler, better PCB for smooth power, and no throttling issues. They will beat the FE by 20% which is plenty fast.
The rumored big daddy Pascal gaming cards won't be out until early next year and they will be monsters, but...
Hi Kyle,
Great work as always. Apparently the invitation to Macau includes an NDA until June 29th. That does not sound good. What do you think?
AMD’s Macau, China event NDA gets lifted June 29th
