Got two ASUS VS229, one has a defect

I got a ASUS VS229 and I like it. So I got a second one. (both from NewEgg). The second one has a black dot on the screen near the center of the lower left quadrant. It looked at first like a spec of dust, but it isn't, it's actually in the screen. It doesn't look like any dead pixel I've ever...

HD 2500 vs 4000 for dual monitors

    Thanks, that's good to know.

HD 2500 vs 4000 for dual monitors

Wow. That's certainly news to me. My understanding was that you cannot use the integrated graphics and a video card at the same time - I thought it was an either/or proposition.

    Asus VS229H-P

Bumping also. The PRAD review shows "VS229H" without the "-P". Is it the same? Does this monitor use an LG panel?

    AG coating on Dell U2412M

I'm not clear on if the 21.5 version has glass but just isn't edge-to-edge, and has a bezel, or if there is no glass at all. Lack of height adjustment would have been OK with me if they had included VESA holes. But to have neither the height adj nor VESA is a deal breaker for me. I'm...

    AG coating on Dell U2412M

Yeah, that's crazy. I'd be getting the 21.5" if I got that monitor though.

    AG coating on Dell U2412M

Wow, did these just come out today? http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/22/dell-releases-new-s-series-monitors-with-edge-to-edge-glass-ips/ I think this is exactly what I want! EDIT: oh wait, there's no VESA holes? You gotta be kidding me. Yeah, I've got 30 days to return the Samsung for a refund...

    AG coating on Dell U2412M

It doesn't have to be glossy, but this Samsung I just got has even more noticeable AG than my LG. I was wanting the opposite.

    AG coating on Dell U2412M

I'm not sure which models you are referring to, but I just got a Samsung S22A650D yesterday, and it does not seem semi-glossy to me. It seems to have as much AG as any monitor I've ever had, including my LG. Not sure I like the color either. Default is very green. I can pull that down manually...

HD 2500 vs 4000 for dual monitors

Thanks for that link. I'm aware of the limitation of 1920x1200. My logicboard doesn't have display port, so I'm not going to be getting any 2560x1600 monitors anytime soon. I really hope my logicboard (GIGABYTE H77M-D3H) supports the HDMI and DVI simultaneously. It seems to support just about...

HD 2500 vs 4000 for dual monitors

Because using internal graphics saves on power, heat, and noise. And $$$. :-) I got the HD 4000. It wasn't so much a price consideration as it was a time consideration. I need to complete my new build soon and the chip I wanted (i3-3225) was in short supply. But ended up getting a good deal...

    Samsung S22A650D viewing angles

Also, what's the difference between the S22A650D and the S22A650S?

    ASUS VB178T

I'm considering the ASUS VB178T to use as a side monitor. Anyone have one? http://usa.asus.com/Display/LCD_Monitors/VB178T

    Samsung S22A650D viewing angles

I'm confused by the specs on the Samsung website (and elsewhere). It states "Samsung LED MVA panels deliver 178˚ horizontal/vertical wide viewing angles" and then says 170°/160° viewing angles in the specs: http://www.samsung.com/us/computer/monitors/LS22A650DS/ZA-features
