Well, Intel did agree to replace my motherboard. What are the thoughts of my current rig for playing blu-ray movies? I would think it should be able to handle smooth playback. I'd like to keep this system for about another year, then look at upgrading. Also, with blu-ray (and better DVD...

Thanks for the suggestion on the AMD setup, but I will need to reuse these old parts. Hopefully down the road this system will go in my bedroom, and I'll be able to build a better rig for the living room. The video card playback was my main concern, so thanks for clearing that up.

Well, I went to update the BIOS on my DG965wh, and if failed during the flash. I've tried just about everything that I can think, but at this point I think it's toast. I have a support ticket into Intel, but I don't know if I'll have any luck in getting a replacement or repair on it (I don't...

For work I've been told to setup a new crystal report (later to become part of .net site that will replace all our crystal reports) that will retrieve all open work orders that are over 90 days without being worked on, based on the shop that the open labor is assigned to. I'm having a hard time...

A friend of mine is working on a site that has a very basic "member" section where his client wants to put pdf files that contain machine specs and prices for his products (the customer will then only give the login information to his product dealers). The problem is making sure somone couldn't...

Ya, I thought it was kind of a crappy deal. It could be a coincidence--who knows for sure. Too boot I asked them if they were at least giving me the updated magsafe power adapter (they redesigned it so it wasn't so huge), and apparently they aren't. Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised when I...

Well, I called up and asked them to cancel the order for my MacBook Pro (I was prepared to just go to the Apple Store and pick one up). The rep I spoke to asked me to give them a few hours to look into the situation, and just over an hour later I recieved a shipment notification from Apple...

I bumped it up to a manager mid July, but I haven't gotten very far with that. I'm still waiting to hear back from my second conversation with her. I'm hoping to get a memory upgrade at least. Next time I order, I'm definitely going to take a road trip to the Apple Store. Make a weekend of...

Does anyone else ever experience unreal shipping delays with Apple? Everytime I order I have the same issue. I ordered my new MacBook Pro on June 24th, and it's been delayed twice (Apple is now telling me it should ship by August 26th). At this rate, the line will be refreshed by the time I...

Most of my web programming has always been in PHP, but I was told to take an exisiting application and convert it to .net. I want to use a form to authenticate a user against out active directory through LDAP. I used the tutorial below from Microsoft, and I can authenticate with LDAP. After I...

I have an HP D530S SFF pc that needs a new powersupply. They are pretty darn pricey, and I can't get one until middle of next week. Would this board fit in any other small form factor case? I'd rather just got to our local parts store and buy a case with a powersupply and get the system back...

I just started playing around with automator, and it looks like it could be great tool to use. However, I can't get anywhere with what I wanted to do with it. I basically want it to create a list of all the artists I have in my either my iTunes library (or even better, on my ipod) and export...

Has anyone heard anything regarding a mac mini update? The current model was released in September 2006, so it's getting kind of dated. I wanted to purchase a new MacBook, but the last round of updates wasn't what I was expecting, and I'd rather wait for OS 10.5 before I get my new laptop...

Well, I looked at the intel boards, and the INTEL BOXDG965WHMKR looks like it will take care of everything that I need. I think I'll end up going this route...the stability of the intel boards is a big plus in my book.

No, I won't be overclocking this system. I just want to put together a stable system that I can setup in the living room and not have to mess with :) Do you have any suggested intel boards in that range that will work with that Kingston memory?
