I got the H50 in my productivity rig cooling a 1055t @ 3.7 ghz using a push-pull setup running at 29-31 C.

Stock fans suck. They are loud as crap on max settings. Try other reputable models such as Silenx or Scythe and enjoy better performance w/o the excessive noise.

Don't use stock fans, go with the Cougar CF-V12H fans an enjoy the stellar performance.

This is an awesome board, just finish my BF3 rig with this board an overclocked an 2600k to 5ghz right out the box with no issues.

Now that BD is out, could anybody validate that this setup works?

I'm in the same boat as you. After finding out the disheartening info, I'm going to return my Asus Crosshair V (once it get's here) I ordered this past weekend. I just went ahead and ordered the 2600k and Asus p8p67 evo off newegg today.
