Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Remember how cack windows mobile was, why? cus they basically crammed too much in, they overcomplicated things.
To me, metro for the desktop (that we all have used this way back when) is oversimplifying things, i'd be fine with this if it wasn't so tied in.
It's fine for tablets, i think a 10...
Metro:
For tablets - Looks great.
For a media center 10" ui - Looks promising
For desktop use - fail
I've never said 'fail' before.
As a power user using metro will add probably an hour onto my work day.
hopefully we'll see a metro ui media center.
hopefully plugins like mymovies (the only one that really matters) will work
hopefully there tv tuner support
hopefully they'll iron out all the bugs present in wmc7 (at least)
get mymovies.
Mymovies is reliable and now supports tv show so it's a no brainer really. I used mb for a longtime but the reliability wasn't there, used to always have no covers showing or movies not showing up straight away after they're added.
I'm either going mad.. but is there not a way in windows to find out my total storage.
If i highlight all drives > properties it just shows one drive.
I want to be able to see my total storage for all local disk drives.
Anyone know a (preferably) small little app.
punch keystones and patch panel all the way...
terminating many rj45 ends can be a SOB to get the order right each time, even the pre made cables you buy often have a wire crossed. A guy at work was going to vito a patch panel at his house until he got onto his 3rd rj45 termination and...
in the real world the high read and write probably only get noticed once in a while, the access times are things that once you get used to using a top end system with an OS on a HDD feels like goijng back in time.
It all seems a little conflicting all this. I've not used WHS v1 but I have a couple questions for v2:
1 - If I turn off a WHS PC, take out a disk, can this disk be read and have complete files readable files on a regular PC?
ssd helped my setup a lot, even though the media is on a different storage drive having all those 1000's of thumbnails etc on the ssd noticeably improved things a great deal.
they're risking their lives in another country and some weasel is worried that they're buying pirated DVD's. Seriously someone got paid to actually put that crap in some report.
Because the PCI E sata controller hasn't yet showed up so I can't add the other 3 ODD to the computer.
I do bit of work for a some companies, DVD authoring etc for events, weddings etc. Often, unless it's in triple figures I can do the burning and lightscribing myself to save money. Having...
