    ViewSonic VX2235wm 2 versions!

I'm not sure if it's going to work for the 2245, but here are the instructions for the 2235. There are instructions included in the manual, but they are rather unclear. Look at the back of the Monitor panel. At the bottom, locate two wing shaped plastic covers on either side and remove...

    ViewSonic VX2235wm 2 versions!

I just discovered that there are at least two versions of the ViewSonic VX2235wm. I just bought another one because the one I had was defective and found some slight differences. The biggest difference is that one is made in China 09/06 and the other in Taiwan 10/06. These are the specs off...

Best online store to buy LCD monitor...

It might take a bit of time depending what you order on line, but Costco has a great return policy. If you have a brick and mortar near you, it's a no brainer. BTW what IS Dell's policy on dead pixels? Can't find anything on their site. And are you sure about the shipping?

[Burning Hot??] 22" DVI, HDCP LCD monitor $299.00 A/R

This is a copy of what I posted in the Fat Wallet forums. I felt it appropriate to post here. I finally got my Sceptre last week after 19 business days. That's almost a month. First of all, I want to thank all of you who have helped me out, especially Coastal Eddy. Unfortunately, there was...

    LCD? Convince me.

I'm a big advocate of CRT's and have held out for a long time. I use photoshop for my work, but nothing serious that requires the absolute best picture quality. I recently bought an LCD for one reason. I have been spending an increasing amount of time in front of my computer because of work...

    20 or 22'' widescreen 1680x1050 or 20' square (4:3) 1400X1050 or 1600x1200??? or 5:4?

I just recently went from a 19" 1600x1200 CRT to a 22"1680x1050 LCD. Only considering geometry, I like 1680 x 1050 especially when I surf the internet, and Photoshop. When surfing the internet, I find I can have my favorites toolbar to the side and still display the full width of a page. In...

    20 or 22'' widescreen 1680x1050 or 20' square (4:3) 1400X1050 or 1600x1200??? or 5:4?

I absolutely agree. I was looking at 23" and 24" but you bould have to pay double for that extra inch and resolution. Plus I don't even know if my current card will handle 1920x1200.

Backlight bleed, get the display repaired of get a new one?

If it bothers YOU during normal use, get it fixed or return it. I know some people who don't care if they have one or two dead pixels, let alone back light bleeding.

    20 or 22'' widescreen 1680x1050 or 20' square (4:3) 1400X1050 or 1600x1200??? or 5:4?

I just recently went from a 19" (1600x1200) CRT to a 22" (1680X1050) Viewsonic LCD. I spend a lot of time on my computer for work, and the CRT was bothering my eyes. Besides the fact that it's an LCD, I find the larger pixel pitch on a larger screen nice, because I can sit back further now...

    dunno if it's hot costco 22" viewsonic 299 + 15 shipping

I got the Viewsonic a few days ago and so far it's very nice. I don't notice the bleeding that other people have reported. I went from a 19" CRT to this mainly because the CRT was putting too much strain on my eyes. This seems to be better in that respect. However, in terms of color and...

    20 or 22'' widescreen 1680x1050 or 20' square (4:3) 1400X1050 or 1600x1200??? or 5:4?

I just upgraded to a widescreen 22" Viewsonic VX2235wm from a 19" CRT and I prefer the widescreen for Internet browsing because you can have your Favorites or History tool bar to the left and still have plenty of width for web pages. Just my 2 cents.
