Looking for a 1 or 2 RU VM host chassis

I want to make a little ESXi sandbox. I already have a storage machine, and have all the parts except the chassis to make this new one: X10SAE M1015 I don't Need to use the M1015, but I wouldn't mind, if it fit. SATA should be fine too. Any problems with a 111LT-330CB...

I don't remember how I did it before. I don't think I ever set up an id map. Storage server connected to AD domain. edit go find a...

drives for non-critical vm datastore mirror?

I had built a little 2 way mirror datastore on 4 old 350GB spinning disks, and it's working fine (maybe a little sluggish sometimes). But one of the drives just failed and it's time to replace. I'll probably just get 4 x 256G 840 pros because I know they work. But just wanted to check if...

Supermicro X10SAE - Xeon Haswell, C226, ATX manual:

Just got an SAE today and realized it wouldn't boot, at least I couldn't get it to, without a graphics card (using a xeon). I guess there's no IPMI either?

What kind of power supply goes in this case?

Ah, thanks. Maybe that's why there were 20 of these cases in the trash. Cut vent in chassis?

What kind of power supply goes in this case?

A corsair RM650 fits in the bracket in the front corner, but the fan would be right up against lid of the case. And the AC port is on the wrong side (toward front of case). Is this just a silly case, or can I find a better supply? here's one with the supply sitting in it

So I switched over to Gea's latest OmniOS VM. I can shutdown/reboot without a kernel panic. BUT I'm still getting random panics. I have a thread going on the Illumos list trying to figure out what's going on.
