Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Just wondering what the cause of a 2 inch margin that is brighter than the rest of the screen would be. It runs from the bottom right to about 3 inches from the top on the right side of the monitor. I changed the resolution and then changed it back and it went away. Weird.
Does anyone know of a cheap and easy way to use a laptop as the display for a Playstation 2 or any other item that has RCA outputs? I was just wondering if there was a USB or FireWire device for this purpose.
Thanks for the replies. I tried tapping F8 after the BIOS screen and it worked on the first try. I guess Sony doesn't even know how to run their own computers. (Vaio web support is where I learned about "holding down" the F8 key.)
I have a Sony Vaio desktop and have tried at the Vaio screen (BIOS screen) holding down the F8 key, the F5 key, and nothing happens. I did a live support chat and the guy on the other end told me to reset the BIOS setup defaults and then try again. I did that, still nothing. My computer still...
I am running nVidia ForceWare version 77.72. I upgraded to the 6600 GT from the integrated Intel graphics on my Vaio, and just did what the instructions said (uninstall display adapter drivers, install graphics card, install video drivers) so I might have a driver conflict. Your replies are...
The make of the PSU is Delta. It's in a Sony Vaio. It has dual +12V rails with 18A on each rail and a combined output of 22A I believe, so it really shouldn't have much trouble running my 6600GT since I only have one HDD and one DVD-RW.
Also, could someone please explain how to boot into...
Ok, I just had the same problem again, but this time Microsoft blamed it on the nVidia card (told me to update drivers). I went to nVidia's website and they said that it could be a number of things and that Microsoft just likes to blame the video card because that's the easiest thing to blame...
Yes, has only happened once. I am beginning to think it might have just been a software issue, but I don't really know that much about software or hardware, so I'm just guessing.
My computer just rebooted when I was exiting Halo. I have a 6600GT running on a 305W PSU (6600GT has recommended 350W PSU) and I don't think my temps were too high. I'm just wondering, if this is a power supply problem, why would it crash when exiting Halo and not while I was playing it...
