Time Used on Dell Monitors is actually based on how long your computer is on while your LCD is hooked up to it. So even though your monitor is turned off, it still calculates it into the Time Used. Technically speaking, any Monitor/TV that is plugged into an outlet is actually on even though...
I am wondering the same since I just got my monitor last week and I've already had 170+ hours logged on my monitor. There is no way that is possible since I ALWAYS turn my monitor off when not in use but my tower is still on. I'm gonna test it out today see if it does.
Will probably only come with a 1 year warranty just like the f2105.
When you see Future Shop selling refurbished f2105's, you know there's a reason for the 1 year warranty and no extended manufacturer's warranty available from HP...
Had the same problem when I got my 2007WFP last week. All you gotta do is set your LCD up as your primary by unhooking the cable from your CRT and restarting and it'll set your LCD to primary. This will make it monitor '1'. Shut off computer. Plug back in CRT into VGA. Start it back up...
I just recently purchased a 2007WFP and am really pleased with it so far.
If you watch a lot of DVD's like I do, I have a trick for all of you.
DO NOT ENTER FULL SCREEN MODE (Alt + Enter) WITH YOUR DVD SOFTWARE!!!
There will be noise that is really quite annoying and unwatchable under...
Thanks for the tip guys.
Yeah, DVD's don't look so great on LCD monitors. My buddy has an LCD HDTV and it looks stunning when it plays DVD movies using component cables. Guess I'm comparing apples to oranges huh?
Figured I would get the same result, stupid me. :D
Damn, didn't know that emachines bought out Gateway. I remember when Gateway used to be top of the line and it would cost an arm and a leg to purchase a Gateway system. I was wondering why Futureshop carries them now for so cheap...
As for the Gateway FPD2185W, be sure to get the extended...
Obviously, I did that but still the black levels are poor. They are fine if I don't expand the DVD to full wide screen but when I do, they are very poor. Doesn't do that on my 19" CRT.
I just got my Dell 2007WFP delivered to me today and I did happen to get it at the sale price mentioned $379 for just that one day last week.
My impression of this monitor since I've only seen pics on the net...
First impression out of the box was WOW! Looked sweet and couldn't wait to...
Thanks to you guys and your input on this monitor. Some great threads and discussions and found EXACTLY what I was looking for in answers. Such as the comparison between the Dell 2407 and the 2007 and ended up getting the 2007 because it seems to be best with a lot less problems with half the...
