OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

Looks like it just took *forever* (more than an hour). Checking the computer this morning and the rest of the script finished just fine. :)

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

I'm stuck upgrading napp-it: I finally upgraded a box from OI 151a8 to Hipster 2017.10 without any major hickups. The napp-it upgrade (from 0.99 ?) via wget however is stuck at 3. setup/ update napp-it 3.1. update folders --------------------------------- cp: cycle detected...

    Replacing OpenIndiana 151a9 with... what?

    Several years ago, I built the home NAS in my sig (ASUS E35M1-I | 2x 4GB | 2x 250 GB 2.5" HDD | 4x 2TB 5k3000 | CHENBRO ES34169-BK-120 | OpenIndiana 151a9 | WHS2011 in VirtualBox 5.0.12), and have been happy with it for quite some time. When Microsoft stopped updates for WHS 2011, I took a...

Running the LSI2308 of an X9SRH-7F in IT mode?

I uploaded it here: http://www.gamefront.com/files/23912025/PH15.zip Just realized that I don't have to register, but you need to "like" it on either Facebook or Google+ :-( Do you know of a better free uploadf place that doesn't require registration?

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

It does sound similar to the problem I was having on OpenIndiana. A quick check on whether this is a HW (cables, etc.) or SW problem, would be to do a quick install of another known-good OS temporarily. Install Windows as the main OS, install the LSI drivers and see if the eight drives show up...

Running the LSI2308 of an X9SRH-7F in IT mode?

Hi Mastaba The obvious problem is the following line: '??(' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file Instead of '??(' it needs to list "fs0" for the EFI shell to access it. A few things come to mind (in this order): Try a different USB stick...

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

This is maybe a stupid question, but why are you reducing the size of the ZIL device? Sure, the system doesn't benefit from more space, but is there a benefit of having a smaller partition? Thanks! TLB

How to clean up a Win 7 (system reserved) BOOT partition ?

I've got the following problem: I upgraded my primary OS drive (contains the 100MB BOOT partition and the rest is the OS) from an 160 GB Intel X25 SSD to a 256 Samsung 840 Pro and used the Samsung Data Migration v2.0 software. Now when I boot on the Samsung, I notice that the BOOT partition has...

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

It seems that my rpool size went up a little bit and now triggers napp-it alerts for 15% space left. I am on OI_151a8 (with UI). Here's the alert I get: ------------------------------ zpool list (Sum of RAW disk capacity without redundancy counted) ------------------------------ NAME...

OpenZFS NAS (BSD, Illumos, Linux, OSX, Solaris, Windows + Storage Spaces) with napp-it web-gui

Hi, I started out to use my OI 151a8 NAS box as a TimeMachine target for a Mac OS X 10.6.8 notebook. I've installed netatalk AFP in napp-it 0.9b3 using the following configuration: ; ; Netatalk 3.x configuration file ; [Global] ; Global server settings afpstats = yes mimic model =...
