Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
1080's aren't really overly desirable for mining (though they are pretty good at mining ZCash).. In any case you should be able to find a 1080 for a pretty good price right now. I just picked one up used for what it seems most 1070's are going for these days.
I don't understand why the 4K argument keeps coming up. If you want to compare CPU performance you must remove the GPU from the equation, or reduce the bottleneck of the GPU.
Let's say you took a Sandy Bridge processor vs. a Kaby Lake, and you used a Radeon 6870 video card. You'd find that with...
I feel compelled to post pics of my SLI voodoo2 rig..
Asus P3B-F, PIII 500, 768MB PC133, Riva TNT2 Ultra 32MB, 2x12MB Voodoo2 (SLI), Windows 98SE
The Voodoo2 cards are different models, but they are both 12MB, one seems to have higher density memory chips.
I just fired this up the other...
That's what I'm hoping for.. I had an Opteron 165 (1.8Ghz) which I believe I was able to overclock to around 2.8Ghz or just under. I was using one of those jet engine sounding coolers though, with a Delta 60mm (7000rpm) fan I think... No fan curves, just full throttle all the time :D Obscenely...
Agreed..

In Canada we're talking about basically a $100 difference between 1700 and 1700X.. I cannot wait for real life reviews and benchmarks.
I ALMOST bit the bullet and picked up a Kaby Lake setup, but decided to keep rocking the oc'd i5 2500K.. It's just still pretty damn good. And I just have to wait and see what Ryzen does to the market.
Yay!
Did they actually email you back? I still haven't heard back from them..
I think I'll go for the X62.. The more I think about it, the crazier it seems to not go for the bigger one if I've got the room for it.
As for shipping these in cold weather, I found a place somewhat locally that I...
I would definitely plan to create a custom fan curve. My only thought was, how restrictive is the radiator and how much air can flow through the rad with the stock fans?
I've never used a radiator / water cooling before in a case, so I'm not sure how restrictive the radiators are.
As long as I'm...
I've got an S340 Elite case, and I'm trying to figure out if I should go for the X62 (280mm) cooler, or X42 (140mm).. It might seem like a silly question, but my reasoning on this is that I'm concerned about enough cool air coming into my case.
My case has room for 2 140mm fans in the front...
