The the 800 series has some features I can't recall off the top of my head that the 8x series are missing. Not really necessary imo. I chose the 32 incher because I would be primarity using it as monitor. I'm sure the 37LZ8five (my five key is broken atm) would suit your needs.
I vouch...
I agree with the last two posters. Most TN panels are unquestionably below my standards. I woulda kept the doublesight (with no polarizer) had it not exhibited strange on-off behaviour. I recommend the doublesight over most TN panels.
now the quality difference between H-IPS and IPS-alpha...
I noticed that there is a shift in the corners of the screen even if you sit directly in front of it. It is very slight though so you might not be bothered by it.
I returned the monitor. Got a Lz800 instead.. 32 inch HDTV. The PQ is much better than the doublesight IMO. No white bloom. In fact almost no shift in the image at incredible angles (close to 180). I'm surprised that IPS-alpha does notmake many screens for computer monitors cuz they kick...
I remember I had this problem too. When I first got the monitor it would not turn on however many times I pressed the power button.. Thought it was DOA..Held it down and magically it turned on
I agree that the panasonic as a breathtaking panel. I am surprised of how much better this is actually compared to H-IPS panels.
As with the fake 120Hz in the panasonic, I have it turned off because I can notice the screen flickering very slightly when it is turned on. Maybe I am more...
mm Interesting.. I would go the other way and say I love the glossy finish but I can see why someone would not enjoy it. I dunno what it is about it that I like about it.. hard to pin point. It almost feels more ....crisp.
You think wrong. I recently returned a new monitor to Newegg with full refund, a return shipping label and no restocking fee. Their policy is not set to stone. You just need to call them and explain the situation. Just think about your situation and be fair to them. They are people too.

I'm not sure if this is a 4850 problem, but if anyone knows the solution, it would be helpful.
I noticed that when I connect one monitor, in both the Catalyst control center and vista display settings, there is a small 800x600 (default monitor) on ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series. I cant remove it...
You really don't have to goto every thread that remotely sounds like one about using 32 HDTV's as monitors and comment how a 30 inch Dell or whatnot is much better than using a 32 inch HDTV. For one 30 inch monitors are more expensive and requires better hardware to power PC games because of...
