Are you running VGA or DVI. I have only seen this occur when using the VGA cable, but if you play a video or game at that resolution all is fine. This issue does not occur with DVI.

mlapgw...If you have the money to spend on the 970p get it. It is an 8bit panel, has better blacks, which would mean better colors. 940b is a good monitor as well but is a 6bit panel. Either will be good for gaming.
