Process Explorer v14.1
Run it and you can hover over each process running and see what applications launched it. It's from TechNet so it's a safe application to run.
I hadn't thought about that but that is a good point about my CPU limiting the GPU. Looking at it, the combo you found is a better deal, I save $20 for and only lose 200Mhz. If the 955 O/C's like my 5000+ did that won't be an issue at the end of the day. Plus the mobo supports SATA 6 where as...
That would be nice if it did. Of course part of wonders if what kind of gains I'd see when I do game with a new video card. The 6850 and Fermi 460 are pretty close in price right now ($210 roughly). Dang money burning a hole in my pocket.... ;)
Ok the wife got me a $150 gift certificate from Newegg for Christmas and I've been chomping at the bit to place an order. I'm can kick in another $200 or so right now so I'm looking for a bang for the buck upgrade. Here's my current system:
OS: Windows XP Pro (x86)
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 X2...
Yeah I feel a little old now... *LOL* Oh well, just for old times sake I'm loading a copy of it into VirtualBox. It's like visiting an old friend (but you know you won't stay too long). ;)
I may be off in left field but looking at the example that you site:
interface Virtual-Template1
ip unnumbered Ethernet0
ip mroute-cache
peer default ip address pool DIAL-IN
ppp encrypt mppe auto required
ppp authentication ms-chap ms-chap-v2

! Set up a pool of 11 addresses on the...
I'm in no means a network guru, but something did jump out at me.
What IP address are you pulling when you connect? Is it a 172.17.8.x address? I'm looking at your config and I see the DHCP pool that you specified:
ip local pool DIAL-IN 172.17.8.210 172.17.8.220
But I don't see that...
Awesome script but I found 1 error in your Reset and Deselect subs. You call for a Checkbox 16 but that checkbox doesn't exist on the form.
Sub ResetSub
checkbox_15.checked=True
checkbox_16.checked=True
checkbox_17.checked=True
Sub DeselectSub
checkbox_15.checked=True...
I agree, experimenting is 100 times better than book learning. I've spent the past couple of years in job with very little networking hands-on so to be back in a position where I can configure and touch equipment is VERY nice. :)
I'm at the point now where I'm ready to hit ebay up for a...
THANK YOU!!! :D
After I took J-Will's advice on putting a .1.x IP on the second interface, and connecting a cable between the 2 switches I knew I had to be close. I had completely overlooked setting a static route back to the .2.x network at the gateway router. I know that ltickett mentioned...
I'm starting to think that you are correct. After doing much reading, I realize that this is a bad network design and would be solved with the addition of a router between my image server and the rest of the production network.
Thanks to all who have helped. I've been away from networking for...
