Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Don't have the card so I can't speak to that specific issue, but have you tried updating your bios?
The swapping out mobo solution lends to the idea that updating your bios might do the trick.
Heya, I've been having a terrible time tring to remove the redundant library folders from Win8.1's new "This PC". Ideally, I'd like to keep my libraries without deleting them completely and just go back to the way the navigation pane and file explorer looks in default Win 8. So far I've looked...
@Ibj
I've had some luck with the firefox crash by turning off all hardware acceleration in Options>Advanced, however I still get the crash when running SC2. Only workaround I've found for that is reverting back to 12.4
Just ordered my Twin Frozr III's now that they're back in stock at the egg. Was choosing between 50's and 70's and just decided to go for it :p. Will report back in a couple days as to whether or not they unlock :)
When you CF 2 cards at different speeds they downclock themselves to the lowest clocked card. If your 6950 is running 6970 specs then you should be all gravy :)
You can cfx with any other brand 6950. Also, you should make sure your card unlocks before you get your 6970 otherwise it will run at 6950 speeds. Otherwise you should have no problem.
Thanks a bunch for all the insight, and sorry for the thread derailment. One last question and I'll stop pestering you. :p Any suggestion for 120mm fans for the HAF?
I was under the impression, from various reviews, that the AP181s in the FT02 do a really good job with airflow over GPUs. In addition, the heat rising straight out of the case would keep the top card cooler. Would you say a HAF932 with the stock 230mm side intake or maybe 4 120mm Gentle...
Thank you for the very in depth reply! I've been planning on upgrading to a CFX setup for a 120hz monitor and BF3, and have just recently decided to go with 6970s for the peace of mind. I'll be getting an FT02 to go along with them, so the reference design on the XFX cards helps. Mainly I was...
Because he isn't looking for gaming performance. Specifically a card with 2 DVI ports. 6770 is the best cost/performance with those specifications. Why spend the extra money on a 6870 when he isn't gaming? Why not a 6850? Still a performance increase...
