Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
When reviewing and testing motherboards, it would be a welcome addition if [H] could report on reliability of the NIC and SATA interfaces.
After reading alot of reviews about how the nf4 SLI chipset was a top performer and overclocker, I picked one up only to find it had an odd problem...
I had tried several general forums and web searches previously, but upon looking into nvidia's forums today, I found several people with the same issue. And it's been around for a while. It seems to be a general problem experienced by many users regardless of OC'ing with boards from many...
Ran into a glitch with a nf4 SLI-DR motherboard, I'm guessing is OC related, I was hoping somebody could shed some light on.
Basic Hardware:
DFI LANPARTY UT NF4-SLI-DR with the latest BIOS
AMD X2 4800+
Koolance Exos water cooler (CPU only)
OCZ EB DDR PC-4000 2x1024MB Platinum Edition Dual...
Fast writes off using riva tuner had no effect. Tried a few more uninstall/reinstall cycles and no change. A few more clues:
pixel shader 2.0 test at 800x600 always works
PS2 at 1024x768 sometimes shows black elephant silhouette instead of shaded skin
PS2 at 1600x1200 always shows black...
I have a BFG 6800GT OC w/ 256MB. When I attempt to run 3DMark03's Pixel Shader 2.0 test (the rhino + elephant) at 1600x1200x4XAA I get back an error that I don't have enough video memory.
I thought 256MB was more than enough for 16x12x4XAA....am I smokin' crack?
Is this a bug with 3DMark...
I notice on my 6800GT@405MHz + FX-53 clocking my card's RAM from 1000 to 1100 gives a slight 3dmark03 gain, but going from 1100 to 1200 gives much less (if any). I don't see any difference in the fillrate numbers or final score unless I change the GPU core speed. I'd expect at 1600x1200x4XAA I...
doh.
I ran version 3.2 of it and it hosed me. After running it via the readme instructions (uninstall, no net connection, boot safe mode, clean nvidia driver, clean drivers.cab), I had a new issue - DirectX 9.0c (retail) wouldn't reinstall - complained that a component wasn't certified and...
pxc,
unfortunately, I went right from install to SP1a to 9.0c on a formatted hard disk - there's no restore point with 9.0b for me to roll back to. Since it's working for you and Zeus, I guess I'll keep dinking with it to try to get it to work.
OPUS,
Where can I get driver cleaner 3...
In 3DMark03's Pixel Shader 2 test under DirectX 9.0c and nvidia 61.77's, I get only 0.6 fps and the elephant is a black silhouette. The small rhino and the wood pedestal are correctly rendered, though.
On an earlier Abit AV8 motherboard running 61.76 and DirectX 9.0b, I was getting around...
