Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
UPDATE* I found THIS post and the person said they figured it out. Here is what they said:
"...Although, it did take me a few minutes to figure out how to remove the "DDR Shield" (Picture attached). I ended up using the Torx screwdriver in the small holes on the sides of that metal shield to...
Hello,
I have a Lenovo Yoga 710 15 80V50000U laptop and I am trying to add memory. I have opened the back but there seems to be a metal box/cover around the ram that I can't figure out how to remove.
There are several groups (of 2) clips around each side of the metal cover and also many...
Thank you for the info! Would you mind telling me what each of those cables are fore (i.e. keyboard, trackpad, ect) 1, 2 , and 3 (I numbered them for your convenience). :)
Hello,
I removed the top of my ASUS ROG GL752VW-DH74 laptop/top cover and noticed it has 3 different ribbon cables/connectors.
Could someone please tell me what each one are for (name/type and function)?
Thank you,
Jan
Thank you for the suggestion.. should the bath be 100% alcohol or should I dilute with water? I was also thinking to put said alcohol in this little sprayer I have and "spritzing" around the keys but I wasn't sure if the mixture should be all alcohol.
Hello All!
I recently spilled soda on my ASUS ROG GL752VW-DH74 17-Inch Gaming Laptop
and today I decided to be brave and take the entire top off thinking I could access the keys to clean them.
On the underside of top piece that has the keyboard there is a silver bracket that doesn't appear...
I was also wondering if there was a way I could configure the playback so it either repeats while the button is being held or it starts looping when the button is pressed and stops looping when the button is pressed again.
I can't seem to find that functionality either. :(

Anyone here have a ROCCAT mouse and are familiar with their software.
I am trying to assign a mouse click (right mouse button) to a macro button. There is an option to add a "Shortcut" but it only lets you assign keyboard keys to this shortcut not mouse buttons.
The only way I have figured out...
I have purchased and used several gaming mice recently and I have noticed that hardly any software for these mice provide the ability to map a keyboard key to a mouse button WITHOUT using a macro.
If you use a macro then it might look something like this:
Keydown F1
Delay 15ms
Keyup F1
The...
When you use a mouse such as a gaming mouse to program/assign a macro to a mouse button does the mouse software update the firmware on the mouse?
1. Mouse Software->Create Macro->Update Mouse Firmware
2. Mouse Click->Mouse Driver->Generate Mouse Action(s)
Or does the mouse software save...
I am considering getting the XFX Black Edition Double D R9-280A-TDBD video card from newegg.com.
Looking at the power connectors on the card it appears that there are two 8 pin connections.
My current video card (EVGA) only uses 8 pins (there is a "leftover" 2 pin connector attached to the...
I have the LG Electronics UM65 34UM65 34-Inch Screen LED-Lit Monitor.
I should have put that in my original post! Duh. :) I just updated my post with that info. Thanks for reminding me to do so! :)
Hello All!
I am looking to get a new video card for my PC and I have noticed that ratings/specs generally focus on the clock speed(s) which I assume gives you more frame rates per second. I also assume that the kind of people that want fast video cards are gamers who don't want their games to...
I just checked the DVI cable description and noticed that it say max 1920 x 1080. :( I didn't even notice that when I bought it. :(
I should have been more observant when buying the cable! I hope there are DVI cables that support higher resolutions.
Why did I switch? Just curious I guess...
