Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I should've mentioned that when the powersupply went, it took a hard drive with it. The new hard drive is brand new and was not involved in the original accident.
This is a brand new HD (only a couple weeks old). I doubt it but at this point, I'm willing to try anything. I'll try to find another HD to test it.
Thanks for the suggestion.
Problems leading up to current problem, may be of significance:
First off, here are my old specs:
ASUS P5N-E SLI
intel 6300
4gb corsair xms2 ram
zalmon 600w PSU
8800gts 320gb
lian li case
500gb HD (BRAND NEW!!!!)
Everything was working GREAT until there was a black out in my house...
I believe that the d60 suffers from the same flaw as the d40 (unable to focus with non AF-S lenses) correct?
If that's the case, I would definitely go with a Xt or a Xti.
I'm in search of a new laptop for school/work/play.
Needs to be a 15.4" with as much deskspace available. I find my overall productivity increases as the screen resolution goes up. I'll be using it for things ranging from note taking in school, surfing the web, movies, photo editing, working...
The computer would randomly shut down from time to time (it was perfectly fine before, winter/spring). Now that the temperatures have been rising, I guess that might be the culprit?
I'm pretty sure the PSU was getting no air whatsoever since the fan was blocked by wires and the actually case...
I believe the Lian Li is a re branded Seasonic too, not sure.
But I think I'll go for the following:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductReview.aspx?Item=N82E16817703005
Mainly because of the back 80mm fan instead of the 120mm on the bottom.
Thanks, I'll check with another PSU to...
Asus P5N-E SLI
Intel 6300
8800 GTS
2GB OCZ RAM
Lian Li PC v1000
Lian Li 600W
Above was my setup and it was running fine untill last night where it turned off and I was unable to turn it back on. What happens is the lights on the motherboard are all on, but when I press the power button everyone...
not sure if you can tell, but the FP7 is actually pushing the Northbridge HS off center. It was pretty tough putting it on.
Anyways, getting my case tomorrow and I'll post temps along with more pics!
intel 6300
asus p5n-e SLI
8800gts
the Arctic Cooling FP7 is touching the northbridge, and the 8800gts is touching the zalman heatsink for the southbridge. All of this is going into a lian li v1000.
This is the best case I have ever worked with.. clean, sexy, strong, well you get the point.
But is it just me or does there seem to be a lack of a intake fan? I know that there is one on the bottom compartment, but that is totally separated from the top. I think I would be getting better...
I'll stick with the G.skill sticks then since I dont really plan on doing any [H]OC'ing.
As for the heat sink, how is the F7 Pro vs the Zalman? Main reason why I chose the Zalman out of all the other heatsinks is just aesthetics, but if cooling is the same between the two I'll go for the F7...
What I am planning to buy:
What I mainly want from this machine is to be able to play BF2 and CS:S at very high settings on a Dell 2005fpw(1680x1050) at 60fps with nooo lag, i hate lag. Thats the only thing that i'll be using this computer for that's demanding.
Now for the questions:
- Will...
