Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Well, this is really only a partial rebuild, where all that is changing is motherboard, CPU, and RAM.
And I would just prefer moving forward with DDR3.
Simple questrion, will all "i7" RAM modules work fine on DDR3 Phenom boards, just using 2 of the 3 sticks to effectively have a 4GB dual channel setup?
A part of me feels like I've done more damage to my hands playing trumpet then video games. Especially considering that I've never owned a console and the majority of my video-gaming life has only been with mouse and keyboard.
1. The Baldur's Gate Trilogy
2. Grim Fandango (though I've only played through the game with a walkthrough, still holds a very dear place in my heart)
3. a modded Oblivion...yes it had its problems, but I still spent hundreds of hours with it. And I do believe Morrowind to be a superior game...
Unfortunately that's one of the caveats of QnC, that you can't have multiplier overclocks stick. You could try overclocking through the HTT or whatever it's called to get to your 3.0ghz. But the 15 x 200 at stock voltage is nice. I'm not an expert, but even with the overall speed being...
All Brisbanes have flawed themal reporting. Oddly enough, the Asus AiBooster utility seems to give decently accurate/plausible temp readings, as well as being able to OC within the OS without any problems. To the extent that I took a 3600+ (1.9ghz) to 3.06 ghz using solely the utility to...
That's an unfortunate story....The highest I think I ever set the voltage was 1.48xx, but my full load temps were sitting up around 60, so i was able to back it down to 1.45, and actually gained some stability. For what is really a budget board, the M2N-E performed admirably. My only complaint...
Well, I've decided to call it a career (for now) for overclocking this chip. For my first experience, I'm quite happy taking it to 3.060ghz @ 340x9 The case that it's in just doesn't have enough cooling power to keep the temps decent if my window is closed. I was hoping to get it over 3.1ghz...
I'm slightly embarrassed to say I use the Asus AiBooster utility for monitoring temps, as well as OC'ing within the OS. I'm running a Brisbane 3600+ on an Asus M2N-E right now. This is my first shot at overclocking, and currently I'm at just under 3.1ghz at 1.45volts. But I don't think it's...
