    Are you talking about win8.1? Windows 10 has the shutdown/restart button at the top now, instead of at the bottom. It's just a picture of a circle with a line at the top.

    Playing MKV and H.264 files

    This is what I use. CCCP It installs damn near every codec you could ever need. It think it includes Media player classic as well. I've had people who have had issues playing files, and once I installed this it all worked.

    MMO mouse

    Pretty much this. I've had some firends buy it as well after seeing mine. Keep in mind if you've never used one they take some getting used too, but after some time with it, you'll never go back.
