I have an Athlon 5350 running my Hyper-V/pfSense box. Its not going to break any speed records, but for my purpose it works well enough. Only build the system because I got an AM1 board for $17 and thought I would give it a try.
I don't think there is any way I will be getting anywhere near 300w. The AM1 board is going to have an Athlon 5350 in it which is a 25w part. The only other components in the system are going to be a dual Intel NIC, an SSD, and one 1.35v DDR3 module. I might end up getting the G-360, it would...
I am in the middle of building an AM1 based system to play around with. The case I have is the Silverstone SG13 (http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=536), which takes a full size ATX power supply. Since the system is going to be pretty light on power requirements, I don't need a very...
When your new card arrives, test it carefully to make sure it works. Last time I did an ASUS RMA I went through multiple cards before getting a working one. In the end, they gave up trying to find a working 280x and just sent me a 970. Their front line support is terrible, I didn't get any real...
I have been on it for about a month. So far I don't have any major complaints. I was able to port my T-Mobile number over without any issues. If I had to name a negative, its that voice quality is significantly worse when on Sprint vs T-Mobile.
Anyone get the bug where you leave one of your workshops and all of its resources go down? Just started happening to me. Odd thing is, when I go back everything looks normal.
The Code is what I was originally looking at. The ~$160 price tag was a little hard to stomach though without knowing that it was going to work out for me. In the future I may still decide to give it a try if the Rosewill doesn't agree with me.
Well I took at shot in the dark and picked up a Rosewill keyboard with Blacks. It was cheap and I get to experiment to see how I get along with linear switches. The activation force appears to be similar to the Model M so I don't think that I will find them too heavy (the most common complain I...
Within the next few weeks I will probably be moving into an office with another person. At home I have gotten so used to typing on my Model M that the Dell keyboards at work are a pain to deal with. If I was going to be on my own I would just grab a Unicomp and call it a day, but I don't think...
Just got me Shimian. The screen looks pretty good. I can't see any dead/stuck pixels. The case is more or less clean, just a few scuff marks on the stand. The only thing that bugs me is that it smells a bit like cigarette smoke. I have it next to my open window so hopefully it airs out a bit.
