    I'm not surprised. Most people want a laptop as cheap as possible and an ssd would make lpatops a bit too expensive at the monment. I have an Asus K53U and I put an SSD in it. Its the first time I ever used an SSD and even though the CPU is extremely weak the SSD improved the laptop a lot.

    The prices are slowly getting lower for ssd's. Look at how much a 120GB SSD was this time last year to what the price is now. I would say in two years time the prices of SSD's will start to become reasonable.
