I've been subscribing to Maximum PC for years - started with Boot. It's a decent magazine (but agree it's a month or two behind).

I'm glad to see a new player. I still haven't entered the VR world - I somehow resisted the urge to purchase a Rift or Vive (so far). Heck, I was at Microcenter a while back and they had an open box Vive with a reduced price. I grabbed it - but decided to put it down and walk away...

I want to believe. Actually, I don't really care who is better. I just know that Nvidia needs competition to spur competition and innovation.

I bought some AMD around 18 a while back - but it was my initial purchase some not a lot of shares. I was hoping on picking up more as it fell down to 16ish....got that wrong :) I'm still happy to see the nice jump. I'm watching for additional pullbacks. I think AMD might have other good...

I used to live in a rural area that was about 45 minutes from what a lot of people would call civilization. I punched in my old address - no DSL or anything. Dial up still (!). One of the reasons I had to move.

Looks like a decent setup. I still haven't entered the VR world. I'm waiting on a few things: Steam announcement (rumor of their own hardware), Vive updates, and my system is on the edge of being VR capable.

The Atari VCS was my first console - I had Combat, Space Invaders and Missile Command. That's all I had for about 3-4 months. Later, Asteroids and Yars Revenge (loved that game) entered my collection. At some point, I got Star Raiders (not as good as the Atari 400/800 version my friend had)...

Ok, that was really cool. I spent a lot of time playing Quake 2 when it came out (LAN multiplayer).

I thought the era of 3DFx was an awesome time to be on the PC. I had a Monster 3D then upgraded to two Monster 2's in SLI. (Looking back, I can't remember how I could afford this as I was in college...)

I'd consider replaying a Dark Forces - I remember finishing the game.
