New landline alert issued to UK homes as switch off deadline gets closer

I still have a landline, planning to keep it until they shut it off next year. It used to be my grandmothers number she got back in the 60s, and I took it over in the 90s and have had it ever since. It been active for over 60 years now.

    Thermal Paste Never expires

I have some arctic silver that is over 20+ years old, still works fine on my old retro systems. Its just a scam to get you to toss it out and buy more new stuff. Just like how they have expiration dates on bottles of water nowdays.

Socket A Boards - still in service?

Thats funny, I have that exact same case you have your K6-2 in. I have a different system in it though, I have a tyan trinity 1854C mobo in mine. Its a cool mobo that has both a slot 1 and socket 370, currently have a slot 1 P3 500 in it. Also have a GF2 ultra, diamond monster sound, and my...

Socket A Boards - still in service?

Thats a really cool retro collection, I wish mine was as organized as yours. Mine has pretty much spread its way through my whole home, and has reached if it fits it sits stage. About 5 or 6 years ago I tried to do an inventory of what I had, and I got about halfway through and I became so...

Socket A Boards - still in service?

I have a similar case in green, but mine is an alienware cheiftec case with no window. I also see you have an abit nf7, one of my favorite boards... I have 4 of them. My hoard tends to older sockets though, most of my stuff is socket A and earlier. Plus I liked duallie boards, I have several...

Valve was founded 30 years ago today — changed PC gaming forever with Half-Life, then Steam

I avoided steam as long as I could, but I was forced to use it when I got fallout new vegas. Just checked Ive had mine since 10/24/2010, so just shy of 16 years now. I remember raging when I tried to install the game and I had to use this stupid steam thing. I threw my collectors edition in...

Socket A Boards - still in service?

I would too, but I have a bad case of way too much retro in my hoard. I have around 60 plus assembled systems, and around enough loose parts to put together a lot more. Mainly to save space, and I dont have nearly enough cases to hold them all.

Socket A Boards - still in service?

Not a socket A board, but it is close being a slot A. I used it for a little while, but socket A was a lot better and quicker.

What do you do with your old cases?

Yeah I have a large hoard of cases, and I have never gotten rid of any. I have multiple Lian-Li's, Antecs, Cheiftec dragons, Alienware cheiftecs, tons of other ATX tower and desktop cases, plus a big pile of baby AT cases. Id say about 80% of them have systems in them too, so yes I have a...

    Dying Light 2

Yeah but it was designed to be, but they made it a lot bigger along with fixing a lot of the massive flaws from DL2. It also has a pretty large sandbox to explore and have fun in, along with the main quest.

Nvidia GeForce Trading Cards Series 1

I like how they say the card is mint, but 3 of the corners are badly bent. Looks like they tried to hide it by making it out of focus, but its still very noticable.
