Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I used to lurk the forums quite a bit when I was younger and have recently come back for knowledge and research.
I needed a gaming laptop and wanted to spend some serious cash. I ended up getting a refurbished Alienware from Dell for a great price.
I read tons of reviews and peoples...
So I just realized these XPS M1730 laptops Dell is selling are all 8700M and 8800M Nvidia chips that where recalled for high failure rates, so I asked around the Dell forums and from what I gather they have a new BIOS patch that is supposed to keep the failure from occurring.
You have to be very very quick!!! I think some of those systems are one only deals, I started looking at some of the Alienware M17x r.2 when they had the 20% coupons last month and you could get a nice M17x with Dual 5870's for $1500.....
They lasted 15mins. I got back from lunch and they...
I just got the same laptop off of the Dell outlet in the scratch and dent section for $599. I just needed an extra laptop for an emergency spare and for the price its very powerful and a good gamer.

I also had a bad experience in the last few weeks. I got an M17X r.2 refurbished with the 20% off coupon a few weeks ago and the laptop arrived with the wrong power supply. They sent a 210Watt instead of 240watt so the laptop would only run in stealth mode. I called Dell support about 6 or 7...
The last time I was looking into getting a gaming laptop the W90 was the king of the hill and I did research this laptop a ton but you don't see the lack of RAID support mentioned very often. I don't do as much gaming as I used to but this laptop kicks a$$ and for $1500 its a good deal.
I just ordered mine and wanted to install 2 Monumentus XL drives in RAID 0 like on my piece of crap Gateway P-7805u and just found out these machines don't support RAID. How can you sell a $1500+ gaming laptop and not offer RAID support? Is not that pretty much standard on all high end laptops...
I have been watching this thread for a while and I wonder what the outcome was? What components did you end up getting and how does it all sound?
I also want a pair of MMG's but just bought an home theater system and have to wait a bit for a dedicated 2 channel setup.
I am starting over from scratch and throwing out my old broken particle board $59.00 computer desk and replacing it with something uber cool.
I know some of you in the forums have some sick dark glass computer desks and I would like to know where you bought them and if you are happy with...
Im sorry I guess I posted 1500 as a general figure but I did not specify the total amount.
I posted all the equipment I have and what I was looking at buying and as far as performance goes, I like to play all games except Crysis.
What issues have you had with the Dual 10K RPM drives in Raid...
I just got about 1500 back on my taxes and was looking at a gaming laptop but for what I would pay for a laptop I can build a nice gaming computer I can just lug around to LAN parties if I need to.
I have:
Cheiftec Case
A8N-SLI
AMD 3800+
2GB DDR RAM
7800GT
16X DVD RW
I would add...
