Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I've had my Wavemaster over a year now and still love it.
I create some heat with a pair of RAID-0 Raptors, a pair of RAID-1 250MB 7200's, an Opteron 180 (upgraded a week ago!) and two SLI'ed 6800 Ultras (next item to be upgraded).
(These are pics from when I threw it together in August...
Didn't the Ultra2 drives come with install/setup software? Usually the OEM's provide a crippled copy of Ontrack's Disk Manager or something similar that includes a copy utility.
Do any of these products (intentionally) cause a reboot so that they can defrag the registry hives and the page/swap file? Or does one still need a seperate utility to defrag the in-use system files? (I use the free 'pagedefrag' off of sysinternals.com)
I described (with pics) some ventilation problems I'm having with my Wavemaster case in this thread: http://www.hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=918864&page=2&pp=20
I'm also worried that the 1/2 inch gap between my first dual-slot 6800 Ultra card and the second one, and the 1/2" gap between...
I suppose I tend to favor Tom's because he was the offset to what I saw as Anandtechs Intel bias. I actually haven't heard much criticism of his site previously, but then other review sites don't have discussion forums. Actually a google search brought me straight into your forums last night...
I just picked the oldest Intel I could think of to make my point. I've never considered that his site gives AMD a fair shake.
What was he, like 12 when he started his website? lol What is he now? Mid-20's?
(to correct another part of my prior post; I suppose with the hits...
GPU is at 72 Celsius before the game has even finished loading?
My GF5900 idles at 38C and can't crack 60 under load.
My pair of SLI'ed 6800 Ultras are stifled for air (presently) and idle at 55C and 72 is about the highest I've seen them with HL2, Farcry or D3 running with all the...
I'll take your word for it that the PC P&C supplies are good, since I've never owned one, seen one reviewed or even advertised. I have owned supplies by Antec, Coolermaster, Enermax, Enlight, Thermaltake and Vantec. The 600W Noisetaker SLI is a well-built top-notch supply with great specs and...
I replaced a PS in a 6-month old PC a while back (Barton 2600)...
Customer claimed it was unstable and had smelled like it was burning from day one.
Soon as I had the screws out I was in shock! This thing weighed less than a pound!
It was a Chiefmax "450W" supply, and I'm guessing the rating...
I'm not experiencing any thermal problems with individual components in my Wavemaster, and it's pretty full of fairly high-end goodies. My problem arises when i button up the case. There is just not sufficient air intake capacity once the side panel is in place.
Drilling out the 100+...
