    Dell U3011 coming soon.

If this is true, it could very well explain why some people bother so much with the coating while others not. The coating is the only panel defect that we cannot demonstrate to the others through photos, so up to know we where assuming that some people are less sensitive, etc. Very interesting...

Zepharus, I guess you misunderstood. He didn't exchange the same monitor 14 times. Check earlier in this thread here.

Thank you once again for your time and patience to go through all of my questions. English is not my first language and I want to clear out a few points Does this mean that I won't be able to calibrate the monitor to sRGB anyway? If I can calibrate, could this be done with the consumer...

    Dell U3011 coming soon.

My knowledge about calibration is quite limited. I want to make sure that I get this right. If I am not lucky and the factory calibrated sRGB mode is not good, but I am still able to calibrate the monitor in this mode using a hardware device, where is the problem? I won't possible get a good...

    Dell U3011 coming soon.

Hi. According to the FlatpanelsHD review in regards to the Custom Mode calibration: "The result is good and after calibration gamma is pretty much perfect and color deviations are very low. But notice that U3011 has an extended color gamut in the Custom Color preset. This means that you...

Hi Hazro, Thank you for taking the time to reply to our questions. I am about to buy a 30” monitor for graphic/web design and I am seriously considering HZ30WBi. I have a few questions. 1. I am working exclusively in sRGB. I understand that HZ30WBi comes with a wide gamut panel (not as...

    Dell U3011 coming soon.

That's a bit scary... Anyone else confirms this? Up to know I thought that most of the 22" to 27" IPS panels had this problem rather the 30" ones.

Dell U3011 - Quick Initial Impressions. (Full review coming soon)

Congrats on your new setup. Does this mean that color is not oversaturated? Is there a properly working sRGB emulation mode?

    HP ZR30w

The anandtech review mentions panel type: S-IPS/H2-IPS (CN401808T6 unknown manufacturer) Any information on this? A new LG panel? Does the lack of OSD functions mean that we cannot calibrate to sRGB? As it covers 111% of AdobeRGB should we expect "funny" colors in all non color-managed...

    HP ZR30w

It appears that this is a 30" S-IPS panel according to this: http://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetPDF.aspx/4AA1-0722EEE.pdf Anybody knows if it is a standard or wide gamut panel? It would be interesting to see if there is a newly designed IPS panel or one from LG used in previous generation 30"s.

    30monitor for old PC

I have an old PC and I wonder if I could attach a 30 inch monitor to it. I don’t game at all, just need a big desktop. I don’t like the idea of two monitors. My current GPU cannot support a 30 inch so I am planning to purchase an AGP card with dual-link DVI from ebay. My PC...
