You have to realize, we are the very tiny minority when it comes to computers.
The overwhelming majority of systems run the stock Intel cooling. Of course an aftermarket cooler gives much better temps, but modern Intel processors are happy to chug along at 85 deg all day long.
Do I run stock...
IMO it comes down to misinformation. People think that because it is water cooling, it must be better.
Heck, people put aftermarket HS's on non K chips. The stock Intel one is fine if you are not overclocking.
Intel releasing new SKUs because of Ryzen is a good sign.
There is no way that Intel does not have chips in house and doing extensive testing.
A little bit of panic at Intel is good news for us.
They are not the employees from Frozen?
The coke fueled destruction of the store was what I was referring to as far as going off the deepend. lol
/end of derail
IMO, 3DMark, PCMark, and DAEMON Tools Pro 8 make it worth the $12 bucks.
I'll try out the partition software but I'm with you on the System Mechanic and the renewable licence stuff.
But for $12 bucks... *(%$& it.... I'll take the risk. :)
For this launch, I really think that the synthetic benchmarks will be important for the low tech consumers.
Getting AMD into the general conversation outside of these forums has to be the major goal of this launch and good scores on synthetics goes a long way towards getting that done. IMO.
