    they're fairly dim. you have to get pretty close to be able to see them, but its still enough that it will bother me knowing it's there so I will return it. I hope the replacement doesn't have the same problem.

    alright a new problem has arisen and this is much worse... near the bottom center of the screen there is about a 2 inch by .5 inch area where there are several red pixels. this is most apparent on a black background. you can't really see them unless you get really close to the monitor but this...

    Well, I picked one up at sam's earlier. it definitely has some backlight bleed on the top and bottom, but im not sure if its enough that I want to return it. other than the bleed, it really is an amazing display and a HUGE step up from my 17 in CRT.

I noticed that there were two different kinds of boxes for it. one was brown and one was white. perhaps one of them indicates a newer model, and possibly less bleeding problems?
