Two months in and I'm still liking it. It has excellent uniformity relative to the other IPS displays I tried. The cross-hatching is of course there, but hasn't been an issue for me. I also haven't experienced any image retention. I've got minimal bleed.
The only thing I've noticed really is...
I have the EVGA SC version, but that's it. Are you watching the temps, TDP levels, and clocks on the Titan? I'm sure you've seen that the throttling on these is pretty aggressive. I'm almost positive that's what's happening. Try letting it sit at idle for 5 or 10 and running the bench again.
Min/max/avg with the ultimate preset.
1080p: 70/102/86.
1440p: 46/68/57.
I waited a few minutes between each benchmark to avoid throttling because of GPU Boost 2.0 on the Titan. It was affecting my numbers by about 4 or 5 fps. This bench has me almost immediately hitting the max TDP card. 99%...
This ups my average with the ultimate preset @ 1440 to 55ish. Almost there. I'm still likely to play wiith TressFX off as my minimums are above 60 that way.
I'll put it this way, the stuff I couldn't max on my 680, I still can't max at 1440. I'm talking the Metros and the Crysises of the world. Same goes for Witcher 2. It depends on what you call playable. I need a minimum 60fps to even enjoy something.
Got mine from TD. I'm sure it's super fast but I have no frame of reference. The only games I've played on my 680 since going 1440p are Spec Ops (ran maxed anyway) and NBA2K13 (ran maxed anyway).
