Bought a Sony W800B 50 inch. Impressions.
A large screen for a PC VDU is perfectly fine, though i will admit that i think you sit rather close, specialy for a 50" screen. I run a 42" screen and sit roughly 6 foot away from it. Even then find the PPI Low, i cant wait to finaly upgrade to 4k or 5k at the same size. That said, i use... -

IMO u should wait. Any1 thinking of changing/upgrading their VDU now should just sit it out and wait for OLED to pick up. LCD is crap, be it TN, VA, or IPS.. none of the current displays out are worth their price tag imo. -

Worst Experience of a Monitor you ever purchased?
4-5 years ago i was coming from a 17" Trinitron CRT to a 37" samsung LCD. I honestly cant remember the model but it was 4-5 years ago so it wasnt as good as current LCD's are. That only lasted about 2 months, 1 of which was spent trying to 'fix' it when infact it was just the inate crap... -
