what about the opterons though? i mean those are re labled sandiego's yup but why get an FX55? the opterons are the same thing w/ a different name and the 148 venus cores get 3.0Ghz on air.
hmm ya thats another option in ati tool you can adjust the sensitivety of the artifact scanner on new cards it seems the orig setting is a bit much so you have to town it down just watch your temps.
id get the ultra D i know someone who has one though im not entirely sure they support opterons officially hes using a 148 venice oc'd to 3Ghz and it runs smooth as glass. and no i wouldnt go sli i would rather wait and get a actual physx card or wait till nvidia perfects the drivers i heard...
