Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Although attaching a fan over nb did bring the temp down by at least 5 or so, that did not stop the shutdowns either..
Rather than going through asus service to get a refurbished board, I decided to try out another brand (evga). So, fingers crossed I guess...
I am gonna get one of those 40mm fans for northbridge and see what happens.
Just gotta figure out how I am going to attach it since my cpu cooler is slightly blocking upper screw holes.
Thanks for all the help you've given me and hopefully, I won't have to come back and bump this thread. :)

I have everest and realtemp installed and according to those programs, core temps and gpu temp only go up to 55 or so at maximum for the stuff that I do.
Hi, I have been experiencing random shutdowns recently.
I am fairly certain that it is a heat related issue as it only happens on a hot day. Once the pc shuts down, the only way to get it started again is to switch off the psu for a few seconds, then turn it back on.
I have tried replacing...
what did i expect? new replacement???
even if it is not the new replacement, i certainly wasnt
expecting refurbished one with the scratch all over it, not to
mention they forgot to send me the remote + power cord that
i originally sent....
just wasnt expecting this from the company as big as samsung.
ive recently rmaed qx9650 and wd 1tb drive. both were like a year old.
with wb's advanced rma, i received the new drive via 2nd day shipping.

via 2nd...
i just received t240 replacement,
funny thing is, the replacement was refurblished instead of new.
i called them up and asked why i was given a refurblished one.
they said after 90 days, theres no way the part can be replaced with new.
huh, some warrranty they have
