Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
wow I'm in the exact same boat. My lady bought me this same drive from BB at the beginning of the month as a anniversary gift and I was just about to install it a few hours ago. I decided to look online for the reviews on it and I found out it's basically the green one. I'm planning on returning...
Let me just chime in. I've just upgraded to a 770 and decided to throw my 660 ti in my spare pc which has a e8400. This thing is being bottlenecked very hard. Trying all resolutions from 1024x768 to 1650x1050 no matter how high the graphic settings yields the same fps all around.
I've upgraded from a oced 660 ti to a 770 sc and it's still a pretty noticable increase. However if your coming from a 670 I don't think it would be worth it. Unfortunately my 660 ti is now being bottlenecked by my other pc that has a e8400, so I doubt I will keep it.
I have a similar setup to the OP, 2500k, 8gigs and game at 1080p. With the 660 ti (slightly oced) I was able to play Far Cry 3 with everything on max except with AA off, fps stayed between 50 - 60. Almost all other games I played was capped out at 60 with AA off with the exception of tomb...
Hey, I have a 660 ti oced and game at 1080 so I might be able to help.
I've been able to play pretty much all recent games at reasonably high fps without AA, stay at or around 60fps, in games like far cry 3 and so on. I haven't played crysis 3 but the newest game I did play was tomb raider...
Tried SmartCrap on my iPad 2, it took forever to connect to the xbox to do anything. Never was able to get the keyboard for the browser to work or use the control pad feature either.
Aside from using microsoft ClearType Text Tuner (Go to run, then type cttune.exe), you really can't improve a monitor's text sharpness. I'm also not sure if theres currently any desktop monitors smaller than 27 that have a higher resolution than 1920x1200
