Did you have to update the bios or anything to run your zeon on the DX5SO motherboard?
My old Gigabyte UD4P just died wont post anymore so looking for a cheap replacement. There seems to be a lot of DX5SOs on ebay for decent prices, but not alot of information on if it works well with with...
Thanks for the advice. Looking at motherboards on ebay more selection than I figured.
I thought the Corsair HX1000 was pretty decent, at least it was back in 2008, lol.
Well tried my brothers PSU in my computer and still the same. Probably just going to see if I can get another motherboard. Like the setup and new computers do not seem like a great step up at this point for the cash outlay.
Setup:
Gigabyte x58 UD4P with F13 bios
Zeon x5660
Muskin 1600hz, 6GB
HX1000 psu
Sapphire 7970GHZ
Was playing BF4, computer froze and would not respond to any input. Decided to shut it off manually after waiting 10 min. Tried to reboot and it would show the motherboard bios display page...

I have searched online and come up with conflicting reports on the UD4P...

Thanks for the replies!
Wondering if the new sapphire 280x is the same as 7970 ghz vapor x?

Thinking of flashing to the 280X bios to get the higher stock clocks. Unless there is another bios out there that would be better suited...
Still rocking the GTX285 since its release.
Lets me play borderlands 2 and fallout 3 just fine, but started to fell the pain playing battlefield 3.
Now I am in the game for a new card that can last me just as long, decisions decisions.
I also got in on the $559 Aus dell price match and got this a few days ago. Seems pretty nice however I sometimes have image retention when I use the HDMI to watch TV then switch back to DVI for the desktop.
Its weird like a plasma in that it retains the channel logo almost like a ghosted...
